A CASE REPORT AbstractYamaguchi syndrome is a rare cardiac genetic condition, with no epidemiological records in  Latin America. Characterized by the presence of an asymmetric apical hypertrophy, whoseelectrocardiographic presentation in clinically decompensated patients leads to the management and the practice of cardiological graphic tests of common pathologies. One of the main imaging tests is echocardiography, which will be our starting point for the syndrome diagnosis. We present a patient admitted in the context of surgery scheduled for non-cardiac pathology, who had a cardiological history without clinical and cardiovascular risk factors. The preoperative evaluation in her electrocardiogram showed alterations in T waves and hypertrophy criteria of the left ventricle, then other cardiac tests were conducted to rule out coronary ischemic pathologies; our final diagnosis was Yamaguchi syndrome.Key words.
